I’m almost ashamed to say it turns out I have better friends than I thought. Here’s to dinner at the Bistro and drinks at the only bar I’ll go to, Gambrinus. Ashamed because I planned on getting some wine and having a Netflix marathon while these people jumped right up and said, “we’re doing something.”

Argh! I haven’t been to a show since Stomp and I found out Blue Man Group was going to be in Evansville…thought about buying tickets for myself and a friend…but that came out to $150.00

*really* glad I didn’t buy Diablo III. Add Blizzard to the list of companies I’ll never buy a game from…EA is on that list…so is Bio-Ware. Freaking online only / day 1 dlc / don’t actually *own* your game.

While physical media might be on it’s way out, says some, I want to *own* the copy I download…not just a license to use it. If I give you money, you should never be able to remove access to games I purchased.

Why don’t we take a ride away up high through the neighborhood?

Most of this week that has sucked…Between the fence, the brick, and now the latest is the people who were throwing my birthday party are going out of town…which would be perfectly fine except for I found out about it through a fb status. Ouch… But, I am being taken out for a birthday dinner…silver lining in all clouds.

The fence project is running a bit behind. I had to hire out someone to survey the yard…apparently when the city redid the roads my property stake had disappeared. But, Lowe’s is delivering all of the materials sometime early next week and a buddy has a two person auger that I can borrow…so, give it about two weeks and this puppy should be done.

A friend gave some friendly advice regarding my fence…put it 1 foot inside the property line. If it’s a border fence, your neighbors can link onto it or do whatever they want. Did not realize that. I’ve got some landscaping rocks and a 4×4 I’ll be putting on both sides…that way no one ruins the fence by hitting it with a weed eater.

But, positive vibes….and there have been some rather unexpected positive developments not to mention my brief break from studying has been enjoyable…now time to study for two MORE Windows Server 2008 classes I have to test out of.

Seriously, why isn’t UNIX Administration I and II required? I don’t need to take four WS2K8 classes!

Someone threw half a brick at my car…luckily, not at the window. How do I know it was half a brick and not say, a rock? It might have something to do with half a brick lying on the ground and the other half on my back porch…where it bounced off my screen door.

…and it’s nothing too nefarious…pretty sure it’s my neighbors kids who are pissed that I’m putting up a fence and they have to move their basketball goal
