I was looking for crockpot recipes online and found this gem. Anyone up for some Irish Stew and a pint of Guinness?

Some like herrings red from the ocean,
And some like a bit of pig’s fry;
Some like oxtail soup, I’ve a notion,
While others like a pudding and pie.
For all sorts of stomachs there are dainties,
But the best feed between I and you,
Is some mutton with onions and potatoes,
Made into a real Irish Stew,
Then hurrah for an Irish Stew,
That will stick to your belly like glue;
The sons of St. Patrick for ever,
And three cheers for a real Irish stew.

I want a grill… I don’t care if it’s literally freezing outside…I’m in the mood to grill.

…and I know I’m on this health food kick but uh, anyone want to go to Minneapolis, MN to Matt’s Bar and get a Jucy Lucy? I’ve always wanted to try one of those.

Huntsman secures a third place finish in the NH primary…I’m hoping this gives his campaign a boost going into S.C. Of all the Republican candidates he’s the only one I can stand… Romney of course won it but Ron Paul coming in second frightens me.

If only I can keep the social libertarian…and remove the “destroy the government” part…

It’s a new year and a new semester starts today…I’m determined to break the Spring Curse! I’m hoping there’s some type of student organization I can join…CAP and ARES are both amazing organizations that do good things…but I would like to socialize with people my own age…or somewhat close to it.

I can safely say today has been one of the more weird moments in my life. Ready for classes to start back up…January 9th… sweet blessed routine and productivity… plus after I pay tuition I can start back up on the house

cannot wait….I need to go to the library tomorrow and find some new books. Something a little bit more taxing than Tom Clancy… I noticed Atwood released a follow-up to Oryx and Crake a few years back. Might check that out.

Well, I just spent an entire day reading the new Tom Clancy novel, Locked On. It kept me interested and you can tell he somewhat went back to his roots by reincorporating the spy stuff that’s kept me involved for so long. In the past, it’s been about a 50/50 split between something that could have passed as a script for a war game and a spy novel.

Jr seems fully developed a likeable character…but, I think this is the last time he can use Clark in the field, dude is 65 and still kicking ass in the weeds? But, I like Clark….I was a little disappointed it didn’t go into more politics…Jack Ryan Sr just wins the presidency setting up the potential for another novel. Speaking of politics…Sr switched from an ind to Republican and the politics definitely leaned a little more to the right…

Regarding his presidency…I don’t know if it’s because the last two books were co-authored but there are STILL some unanswered questions…he resigned / no he didn’t / yes he did… Also, for being so long it ended rather abruptly!

I don’t want to give anything away there was no explanation of the consequences from one of the major plot points. Not sure if this is just setting up for his next one or what.

Anyway, I’d recommend it.
