Happy Easter

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

The truck is back up and running. I wound up replacing the voltage regulator and a couple of cables/fried wires to get it back up and running again. Sadly, the radiator is leaking pretty bad, as is the timing cover and thermostat housing. But, I can’t get that right now…At least I have something to drive to class and work. Having to get this thing up and running has also brought up some pretty big problems I’d rather not get into on here…

last night was fun though, my friend Sarah and her new boyfriend came over for a bit…went to the Deerhead in Evansville for a while. The live band was surprisingly captivating. You could tell the bassist had listened to a little bit too much Phish and taken one too many drugs though. It was some kinda blues jam band that threw in a few rock songs. I can safely say I never expected to hear Money for Nothing from the Dire Straits live. It was definitely a good time. Carl, Sarah’s boyfriend, is an interesting guy and we found we have a decent amount of things in common.

and no more LOST until April? ah! Things are getting interesting! :)

Anyway, hope everyone has a Happy Easter.

What if everything around you, isn’t quite as it seems?

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

It’s nice to be out in the middle of the night…alone with your thoughts and to observe everything around you as the world sleeps. Especially during a rainshower. To me, heavy rain is both stimulating and calming. How’s that work? I’m not entirely sure myself.

I was down by the river earlier tonight, drinking a cup of coffee and listening to Nine Inch Nails. One of the songs was Right Where It Belongs. And, as I put in my topic, one of the lines is “What if everything around you, isn’t quite as it seems?” which seems to fit a current situation of mine fairly well. What do you do, when you think something isn’t as it seems and you don’t know why? It’s complicated…torn between what’s perceived and what’s presented.

But, enough about that…time to get ready for class. Speaking of, I found out that after midterms I have straight A’s!

oh yeah.. and only two more months until my birthday!

I’m about 99% over my cold. Really should swing by Rite Aid and get some stuff to make it 100% but i’m kind of lazy/broke right about now

I’ve done two things I haven’t done in ages. Well, I’ve only done one.. the second one I’m starting after this entry. Went outside and broke out a new notebook.. trying to come up with ideas for a few new songs. It’s been so many years since I’ve written that it’s even worse then when I first started but hey, you have to start somewhere right? Not quite sure how i’m going to get these to music.. but i’m pledging a Music Fraternity, what are brothers for?

I came in to brew some coffee when I saw my guitar sitting in the corner.. this brings us to part two of things I’ve neglected. I have guitar friends all around. It’s time to put this instrument to good use. Guess I better thank Fulton for restringing it right before I took it back ;)

Going to the Wellness Center @ 7 to exercise. Aside from that I’ve got nothing planned but rest, relaxation and a little bit of GTA: San Andreas

see ya
