The Dry Stuff
I’ve found these things to be a bit pretentious.. but, you clicked on it so here you go.
Close your eyes and look inside your mind. What do you see? A beach, walking in a foreign country or perhaps being caught in the rain on a city sidewalk trying to get home? That’s me. I find it hard to focus on ONE thing I want to do…one destination, one path, one major…I want to see it all, learn it all, do it all and come back for seconds.
I want to travel…There are some places I’d rather see than others but it seems the journey is the most important part…
The Geek Stuff
I’m a bit, okay, a lot of a computer geek…but I like to consider myself one of those well rounded ones. After a few years of (Mostly) swearing off technology I was pulled in once more…Currently, I’m an IT consultant for Tri State Datacom and a computer technician for The Computer Guys LLC. One of my favorite parts of this arrangement is always having something fresh to learn or do. There’s no punching a clock and the lack of routine keeps things refreshing enough to look forward to working each day.
My primary love/focus is Network Administration and Security and I’m currently studying for my CCNA to better help with that.
As far as school is concerned—I’ve been to five different colleges in five years and have majored in three different areas. Starting off at Murray State University with a major in Telecommunication Systems Management…I find myself once again a student at Murray State University with a major in Telecommunication Systems Management…ha. Only this time it’s going to be online…currently working with my advisor to see how long its going to take.
Random
Geez, I feel like I’m filling out some ad for an online dating site. “I enjoy long walks by the beach” blah blah blah. I think it’d be a LOT more interesting to get a couple of my friends to fill this out. Except, some might be a little evil but wouldn’t that be a lot more fun?
I’m a coffee addict but it doesn’t mean I’m picky…I like to hit up ritzy coffee shops when I get the chance but I also love going down to my favorite diner and sipping on a cup all night for $1.00 Sadly, my favorite diner (The Royce,) is no longer with us. It was my first job and I had been going down there since I was 13.
Everything reminds of a song and sometimes I’ll start singing at the most inopportune moments…I think I might have had a few objects thrown on me by singing in the middle of an argument.
Oh yeah, once last bit…my all time favorite band is The Smashing Pumpkins. I’ve seen them three times now with the last being their 20th anniversary show in Cleveland. I had front row center tickets, w/ a VIP pass where I got to meet Billy and Jimmy.
