Friday, April 9th, 2010about 5 hours after my interview I received a phone call with the job offer. So, wow.
Guess its time to start apartment shopping!!!

Friday, April 9th, 2010I’m doing my best to be cautiously optimistic vs outright hopeful right now. I had a very strong interview today for a sales position with a base pay more than I was making at AT&T and the opportunity for commission. Weekends off, 8-5, and health insurance. I was told I’d find out Tuesday at the latest…They’re finishing all their interviews today and wanted to get this position filled ASAP.
I also found out AT&T in Owensboro is hiring for a sales rep–haha. Oh, I think that’s funny…
Two months, three tops and I could move into a new place with new furniture–and now that I’ve paid off my credit cards and medical bills I could actually afford a better place than Towne Square. See, this is where it gets dangerous. I should avoid these thoughts until I actually GET a job where I can make this a reality but I can’t stop myself… The idea of being back in my own place, no roommates and back in control is too much to suppress. Hey, I might even start dating again, you know, assuming I can find someone from this town that actually interests me…
Keeping my fingers crossed…these next few days are going to be torture.

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010In preparation for the upcoming exercise/weight loss/change of habits I just cleaned out the garage. I found an advantage to living back with the rents! Ha, they have a multi-purpose weight bench and treadmill. Just need to clean out the garage and get it setup…which means a trip to BG to get my free weights back from Alex.
I’m determined to take some time and effort to make this an actual change of habits vs something temporary to gain results. I’m not going to go on some crash diet like South Beach–although it definitely works…but rather try to make small attainable goals and broaden them as I go.
#1 No Fast Food
#2 No Sodas
…Yeah, #3 was going to be no beer but, can I just say LIGHT beer instead?
Anyway, if anyone sees me with a fast food bag thats dripping disgusting grease, feel free to rip it out of my hands. Went to the store today and stocked up on healthy food items–including quick fixes for lunch.
Also, starting up the Ben Hawes runs again…except for now it’s starting as a walk/jog and going to have to build myself up. Got a bit out of shape–not to mention my messed up knee doesn’t really like running.
