NiN Day…

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

A friend of mine declared it Nine Inch Nails day and asked everyone to post on his wall the first NiN song that came to mind–mine was The Perfect Drug.

I got my head, but my head is unraveling
Can’t keep control, can’t keep track of where it’s traveling
I got my heart but my heart is no good
And you’re the only one that’s understood
I come along but I don’t know where you’re taking me
I shouldn’t go, but you’re wrenching, dragging, shaking me
Turn off the sun, pull the stars from the sky
The more I give to you, the more I die

And I want you…
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug
The perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug
The perfect drug

You make me hard when I’m all soft inside
I see the truth when I’m all stupid eyed
The arrow goes straight through my heart
Without you everything just falls apart

My blood wants to say hello to you
My feelings want to get inside of you
My soul is so afraid to realize
How very little good is left of me

And I want you…

You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug
The perfect drug…

Take me with you
Without you
Without you everything falls apart
Without you, it’s not as much fun to pick up the pieces
Without you
Without you everything falls apart
Without you, it’s not as much fun to pick up the pieces

“maybe love won’t let you down
All of your failures are training grounds
And just as your back’s turned you’ll be surprised she says
As your solitude subsides”

I’m close to screaming. I feel like I’ve long passed plan Z and have started on the double letters. My hours have been cut again and it’s looking like I’m not going to be able to afford NKU..

It got to be overwhelming…I had to get out of town. Decided against Murray or Lexington…next thing you know I’m driving down to Atlanta and spent a few days with my brother.Hit up a few bars and just relaxed…

All it all it was much needed escape…The problem with an “escape” is when you come back to reality it makes it that much worse. Sitting here at my desk–absolutely no customers all day and hoping I don’t get sent home because we’re so dead…

Definitely don’t want to be here…

“if i believe, if i decieve, if i defend you now that way, would you believe, could you receive, could you have faith, to tempt me, to love me, that now is never lost and you are worth it all, that time is everything and no days can be saved.”

A shrill and piercing buzz permeated my skull this morning causing me to suddenly jolt awake. Looking over, I realize its my alarm clock. My first reaction was anger and confusion…why did I set my alarm on a Sunday? Until, oops, I realized it was Monday morning and Sunday didn’t exist.

I helped my friend and his wife move Saturday night when I got off work. We started around 6pm–2 26′ u-haul loads and 12 hours later the two of us finished. Neither of them had prior experience so I wound up driving. Recalling the first time I drove a U-haul, it was one of the smaller versions, someone once told me how I shouldn’t be concerned as its pretty tiny. Well, this one totaled 36′ from bumper to bumper. THAT was fun to drive!

It’s Spring Break and I have Tues-thurs off…Need to find something fun to do.

Here’s the last toast of the evening, here’s to those who still believe
All the losers will be winners, all the givers shall receive
Here’s to trouble-free tomorrows, may your sorrows all be small
Here’s to the losers, bless them all

Another cold front comes to the South. I’m beyond ready for green grass and blue skies…walks by the lake and steaks on the grill. It’s time to come back alive and step out of hibernation. My friend and his wife recently got a new house and I’m hoping for a few BBQs there.

Moving home was a bit of a hassle but has been very rewarding. I’m quite proud to say that I’ve completely paid off my credit cards and medical bills! It’s amazing what not having to pay rent and utilities for a few months can do haha.

Earlier this week my Nexus One finally came in. After my old phone finally died I was originally planning on buying a new iPhone. It’s hard to agree with Apple’s closed practices and attitude towards developers which is why I decided to switch to T-Mobile and the Google Android based phone. One of my favorite applications, also on iPhone, is Google Night Sky–I haven’t figured out quite how it works other than using GPS but, you point your phone towards a certain area of the sky and it shows you the constellations. Very interesting and fun!

Still have the same old 570- number though. Love the ability to port…
