Written by fredward on December 2nd, 2007I was viewing a live vid of Smashing Pumpkins - Let me Give the World to you and Billy was giving a brief description of what the song was about. This is a beautiful beautiful song that’s been one of my favorites for a while.
Billy says this, “It’s a reoccuring theme in most of my songs. It’s a younger version of me talking to a girl and I’m saying let me give the world to you because obviously nothing else is going to make you happy and if you’re a girl singing to a guy then let me give the world to you because no matter what you get you’re going to be unhappy and destroyed anyway”
I thought it was pretty funny
