The first week of my program to get back in shape is completed and I feel this time I have the motivation and drive to see it all the way through. I’m not worried about my weight but I definitely want to improve physical fitness, stamina and strength…which is why I’ve been alternating between cardio workouts and weights.

Do you know what I like best about winter? It’s the purity of it all. The wind, the sky and the sun… When else are sunsets lined with green? As for the sunrise, there’s just something about looking up at a full moon (well, it was) and watching the sunrise at the same time. It’s powerful…you can feel the duality between the dark and light and for that brief moment I feel perfectly centered.

and i’m sure the endorphins from running helps just a little! 2 miles everyday minimum.it’s not a lot but well, it’s definitely a start

You have to laugh.. Seriously. Besides the fact that my second loaner car had a complete electrical failure last night and I was stranded (again) I find out this morning that none of the insurance information was processed…it was mysteriously lost. So, when I called up Cambron’s to find out exactly what happened I asked them a question.

me:”How long were you going to let my car sit there before you called me to explain there was a problem? I was expecting at LEAST the estimate to be done about now.”
them: “We’re not sure exactly”

Verbatim.

and then there’s misc. whatnottery that made me chuckle but that’s the main funny bit. Oh yeah, something about schools losing mailed transcripts delay delay delays.. Something like that

Saturday night I decided to make a trek down to Murray…Kept a pretty low profile over the weekend. Just mainly needed to get out of town for a little bit and I wanted to take a walk by the lake before the weather got too much cooler.

Murray was a good time. I’m surprised that the car lot that was formally the Log Cabin is now a mexican restaurant. I will say they had pretty good food. Aside from a paint job the place was just as a grungy as ever. Ah, my home away from the Royce. Many a night was spent with friends over a cup of coffee.

My friends I was staying with crashed around 2 but I was still wired (go figure) and decided to go out for a drive. Wound up driving down The Trace and found myself back at Hematite. When did they add that fence? It was a beautiful night out, not too cold and not a cloud in the sky…plenty of fog on the way back but that’s another story. It’s so rare to be in an area where you have literally no man-made light. If you want any visibility you better hope there’s a clear sky and plenty of moonlight.

Wound up crashing around 6 and left shortly after I woke up…and knowing my lovely luck the steering column of my loaner car locked up in Rumsey. I barely managed to coast into this parking lot to wait for a wrecker to pick me up. First time a trip to Murray took 4 hours.. lol

Tracey, your gremlins reached out and destroyed my car. a

I just got in a wreck…and it’s looking like my car might be totaled. This is the second time I was completely stopped at a red light when someone from behind slammed into me. Only this time it was a large truck and it pushed me into an SUV. My brakes are non-existant. The car is being towed to the body shop, my front and rear bumper both have to be replaced and from the damage to the trunk and the gaps in the rear doors it looks like I have extensive frame damage. I’m also debating about going to the doctor to get looked at. I twisted around pretty hard (don’t ask me how that happened) and my glasses flew off when I hit the steering wheel.. lol. I’ll probably just give it a few days.

I better get a loaner out of this

lmao.. that’s great

“Relationships last, and remain interesting, through mystery. Being consistently nice and romantic to your girlfriend will eventually inspire boredom and resentment; repeatedly acting like a jerk just to keep her at an arm’s length will quickly grow tiresome and infuriating. The key is to often act with seeming deep compassion and sensitivity, before suddenly and inexplicably acting like a selfish asshole months down the road. This inconsistency will confuse one’s significant other to the point where they become excited, but somewhat scared, about how you will act next: the relationship becomes a constant struggle which, while occasionally trying, will never grow boring or predictable.

Getting her to love you is easy; getting her to stay around after loving her back is near impossible. Better to keep things harsh, yet interesting.”
