So I bought a shell accounts to get some eggdrops for the WRL net and decided that I wanted to get the bots from my freebsd box online as well. Sadly, i’m +r on all IRCnet servers.. Hmm.. What can I do? Well, I suppose I can do what I’ve been wanting to do for a WHILE and get an ipv6 network (last time I was going to try w/ that WRT54G but.. I never could get that cable built) So, I have a PII 300MHZ lying around that looks like it would be a fun thing to make into a router. I even have an AP that I can mount to the ceiling if I wanted to..

If I do that though, I can’t very well have my server on a router can I? It means I have to get a new one!! I could get a 1ghz for about.. 60-70 bucks. If anyone has anything in the 500MHz range i’d probably buy that from them..Maybe even put in some money and make it a file dump.. mm.. no wait, keep it simple

Anyway, it’s just a thought. It’s been a while since I’ve done anything geeky and I’m kind of feeling the itch.

The test I thought I was going to bomb I turned out knowing almost all of the answers to.. had a small problem with the last section of short answers but it wasn’t too big of a deal.

I am reading something interesting though, Dr. Beaulieu printed off a copy of Rivert’s idea for a ThreeBallot Voting System.. Basically he’s trying to develop a secure voting system without cryptography. It has a lot of good ideas but unfortunately Andrew Appel from Princeton broke it pretty quickly.. I haven’t made it through the assault paper yet. Taking a break after reading 15 pages of voting stuff. =P

That’s pretty much it.. stuck in a computer lab for four more hours. Brought along my psych book for friendly reading
