It seems like everything has a timestamp these days. Forums, facebook, myspace. By viewing comments, updates, posts, etc people can tell what you’ve been doing and when you did it.Don’t forget about AIM idle time, at least that can be shut off. And now with Google Talk they make it so anyone on your buddy list can see every single time you check your email? (but you can disable this)

Even people who try to maintain a low online profile aren’t able to if they visit sites like these. Of course, they are “social” sites so it seems to defeat the purpose of maintaining a low online profile..

Do you remember back in the day? Before friendster, facebook, myspace and social networking sites. You pretty much had forums.. and IRC. ICQ was huge and aim was barely heard of. At least w/ ICQ you could go invisible but still be able to see everyone else who was online (and add buddies to your visible list) that was an interesting feature.

Before google toolbar, insane amounts of spyware and adaware. It makes me wonder how much (nothing illegal, just in general) could be traced back to me if someone really wanted to. It’s kind of scary…and i’m not even mentioning online purchases and bill paying

It makes me wonder, if I picked up, took off and wanted to completely remain anonymous on the internet. Would it be possible?

So I wound up hanging out with a couple of the guys tonight. They picked me up and throughout the night we got a decent amount of snowfall, pretty fun right? Well, not when you leave your window rolled down. My entire front seat, steering wheel, half of my dash as well as along most of the inside of my door was completely COVERED in snow. I really wish I had a camera on me because it looked pretty cool

I think I managed to get most of it out, the rest of it I don’t mind letting me melt.

A bunch of people were worried the roads were going to get bad tonight but I went driving on them and they weren’t bad at all. I tried to do some donuts down at the stadium but there wasn’t a thick enough layer of ice on there for me to spin properly. I did get some pretty good skids in though

But, enough of that. It’s 4am and i’m going to sleep!
