I’m at work.. and today is really dead so I figured I’d write out a semi-decent, well, informative LJ update.

I’ve been down at Murray for about a month. It really doesn’t feel like that long. On a sharp contrast from last summer, work is probably my favorite time of the day. When nothing is going on I have countless hours just to sit here and study/tinker with random computer crap. Not too mention Derek is awesome. He always makes for a good conversation / arguement…and we got paid today which is another plus

Dorm life. where do I begin? Franklin is possibly the most ghetto door on campus. Everything under my bed got completely soaked that last rain storm. Not quite sure if it all just leaked through the window or if it actually came in the side of the room a la Royce.. Speaking of the Royce.. there is a PERFECT replacement up here..uh down here called the Log Cabin.. the roof leaks, it smells like smoke 24/7, it’s open 24/7 and you’ll always find at least one old drunk guy listening to country. Very nice. But I digress.. I’ve met a few people on our floor.. they’re kinda dull. I’ll hang out with my wallmate every so often but.. *shrugs* hopefully as the year goes by and people get to know each other they’ll be some craziness

Racerband - Oh how I love thee racerband.. We’re going to mississippi state to play during halftime of the football game. I’m pretty psyched about that but also a bit nervous. I know.. a small amount of people in bad. but i haven’t been there, or been vocal enough, to start to be a part of the closeknit society. I don’t know the people i’m staying with in the hotel, I hope I can actually sit with someone I know, or for that matter someone who is cool that I would like to know and don’t get stuck with total assholes (as is the case normally)
All in all it should be a great way to get to meet new people

Classes. omfg. Where do I get started.. Every class rocks except physics. Enough said

I’m trying to think of things that have been going on.. Between class, work, and racerband I’ve been completely drained lately.. A lot of my other friends are going out partying and having fun and I’m like “ohh 11pm.. time to go to sleep”

oh! I didn’t post about my car! The first weekend after I move into the dorms my “check brakes” light comes on and pretty much my breaks completely go out on me. I call a tow truck and get it into a dealership when it also turns out that I needed new rotors, break pads, alignment, something with my suspension etc.. oh my tires were bald.. but! mom to the rescue totally kicked ass and paid for every cent of it.. so I got brand new breaks and tires, a tune up, every alignment imaginable..

I was very very pleased about that

Car, dorm, classes, work, band.. Wow that was a large post (for me anyway)
