newegg has a 7200rpm 300GB hd for 122.00 but knowing me I’d put that into this machine and put my 40 into the linux box
As far as my network goes here’s the situation
The 386/486/compaq and k6-2 are being wrapped up nice and neat and stored in the garage.. It’s insulated so it should prevent extreme hot/cold. The eMachines I’m giving to my mom to use / a computer to have when I come in on the weekends
My BSD box.. That’s going to stay strong.. I want to buy that 300GB I was talking about and use it for a file server.. put a 256mb chip in there to keep it going pretty well
After all, with me gone they’ll be a 3 megabit connection that isn’t being used.. I might as well take some advantage ;)
Here are the daemons it’ll probably run
1.) httpd
2.) sendmail (or some secure variant)
3.) ssh
4.) sftp
5.) ircd
and of course my 2 eggdrops for wrl ;)
