Saturday, February 19th, 2005I was at the Royce with Alex tonight when this really big drunk guy with a fresh black eye walked up to us and asked if he could join us. Actually, it came out more like, “ey i’m onna sit ere ok ith you two?” So.. I told him it was okay.
The waitress went to take his order. He says, “I wanna steak.. n water.. wif sprite. I ain’t got no money though.. just 4 dollars.” The waitress walks off (thanks a bunch Kelly!) I tell him I have to use the bathroom for a second.. but what I really do is go back in the kitchen to get the cook, Sam. Sam is a former bouncer for a nightclub.
Sam asks him if he’ll leave.. The drunk gets up and screams, “I got money!! Ima paying customer!” He throws down 4 one dollar bills. Sam again asks him to go and the drunk gives everyone the bird and starts screaming when Sam picks the drunk up and tosses him outside. The drunk starts to come back in and goes to take a swing at Sam but Sam blocks it and throws the drunk out again
Alex was freaking out.. I was laughing. Business as usual at the Royce
