(yeah, I know it’s not good but common.. it’s OCC I just need to BS my way through this one)
ATTENTION:“Heretic. Tell me now your everlasting devotion to Jesus Christ and you will save your soul. We will still kill you” The man professes his faith to the torturers but they show no mercy. Knives slice into his skin carving him up, His nipples are twisted out and finally they get bored with the poor heretic and slice off his head. If society, not even society, just high-ranking members of the church, had any doubts about your believes, you could be executed on sight. At least, it was this way during the Catholic Inquisition.
NEED: This is why I propose a complete separation of church and state. The problem does not come from the institution that is religion but rather the members of the religion. There are many different religions throughout the world, not even in the world; there are many different religions here in America as long as one religion “is in charge” of the government there will always be groups treated unequally.
SATISFACTION: How can we solve this problem? A defined constitutional amendment banning vocalization of religious preference in government or conforming to an agenda of a sect of a religion. Yes, many might argue that this infringes upon their rights but soldiers in our armed forces are required to give up some of their rights everyday and no one complains so why should not all employees of our government have to make the same sacrifice. With the unbiased nature of the government it will trickle down to other levels as well
VISUALIZATION: Some of you I’m sure are quite disgusted with what I am saying but here is something that you might not have heard of. With George W. Bush professing to have God in his White House and tearing down the small barriers of separation that we have it legitimizes the jihad among the extremist Muslims. If you think about it, one could also perceive that we’re on a Holy War of our own? To contain the spread of the Muslim religion with a design to prevent them from gaining greater affluence in the region? We tried this once with Communism, it caused the Cold War. By forcing a separation of church and state, it will not make America and immoral land of heathens but quite the opposite. It will force our government to start making and enforcing laws that are beneficial to all Americans.
ACTION: I’m a Christian and while I witness to others and try to live my life in a way that my God would approve of I don’t think that our government has the right to shove that down our throats like they are. If you are in favor to this line of thinking, if you want more information and are interested in advancing this cause than I ask that you attend a meeting where we will outline in detail our amendment and ways of getting media attention nationwide. If you prefer to take direct action without the aid of an organized interest group than I will be providing you with the Kentucky, contact information for senate and house.
