I’m writing this from my p2 300 which i’ve had since 5th grade..
For web browsing, email, word processing whatever this computer gets the job done. My dad has a 800 mhz eMachines which lags horribly (he also has shared ram while I have a healthy 256mb in mine)
Here’s the rundown of Dysphoria
P2 300
256 MB PC133 SDRAM
32 MB Geforce 2 MX
Soundblaster Live
Generic Nic
4x cd-burner
DVD-rom
15 inch monitor.
Guess I’m just proud that it’s remained intact for.. about 7 years. I’ve upgraded it along the way (ram, vid card) but minor investments considering the time period I’ve used it. Oh.. and I’ve replaced the floppy drive several times (I always got ‘em free off a friend.. guess when this one goes out I’ll actually buy a new one)
I guess the point of this rant is that just because it’s old doesn’t mean you have to throw it away
